Customers at Paris's newest cafe order their coffees and croissants, and are now able to enjoy them in the company of a dozen resident cats. The "Cat Cafe" has about ten to twelve cats who sit with customers, walk about or just curl up in chairs. The cafe is aimed at Parisians unable to keep pets in cramped apartments and though the idea may seem eccentric, cafe manager Margaux Gandelon says that the "purr therapy" -- the sound of the cats' purring-- lowers customers blood pressure and heartbeat and lets them relax a little.
