Heartbreaking doesn't even begin to describe the horrors in Australia with fires blazing all over that big beautiful island. We're sending fire fighters of our own and millions of dollars are pouring in to help. Elton John has put in a cool $1-million. And word is out that heavy rock legends Metallica are sending more than thoughts and prayers to those battling the brushfire emergency. The rockers have pledged $750,000 to the NSW Rural Fire Service and to the Country Fire Authority in Victoria to support relief efforts. The Australian music industry and organizations around the world are all pitching in and rallied behind the brave firefighters and those at risk of losing everything. But what is just as sad is the wildlife being destroyed. People are doing whatever they can to save these beautiful creatures.
More than 12 million acres have been scorched and what's just as bad is that many of these fires have been started by--no NOT climate change--but good ol' fashioned arson. Hopefully they'll begin rounding up these creeps and drop them in the middle of those blazes but that's an emotional reaction. But they should be severely punished. I'd like your thoughts.
