Our Memorial Wellness Wednesday guest Anisa Grantham is talking about maintaining weight and good health. Anisa is a Licensed Psychotherapist/Master Addiction Counselor and Bariatric Coordinator at Memorial Bariatrics.
Fifteen years ago, Anisa got gastric bypass surgery. Her weight before surgery was 318 lbs. Anisa lost 160 lbs., including surgery to reduce excess skin, and has been able to maintain a 150 lb. weight loss. Anisa says that after years of just doing cardio workouts, she's now concentrating on strength training, including using the Thigh Master.
Most importantly, Anisa says that the surgery was just a tool. The most important thing for surgery patients to focus on is to maintain the weight loss and healthy eating.
