I'm a news junkie, so I get numb to a lot of stories.  It's been a while since I've come across one that has excited me as much as this one.  I found the story "by accident".  I was looking for information on reported injuries of some of our soldiers still in the Middle East to see if they were from right her with the 3rd ID.

Instead, I came across an article about a  chance meeting at the Republican National Convention two weeks ago.  It's amazing how many stories about 9/11 there still are to be told and to be updated.  This is one of them.

Two men, one badly burned by the plane that crashed into the Pentagon, the other a Colonel asked to help keep the victim alive by a medical person who needed to continue triaging victims.  Both have wondered about the other over the years, until that chance meeting at the RNC with former Texas Governor Rick Perry at the center of it.  I don't want to spoil anymore of the story for you.

Instead, here is our exclusive joint interview with Texas Senator & Ret. Lt. Col. Brian Birdwell and Ret. Colonel who's now running for Louisiana Senate, Rob Maness:

By the way, this is the article I first found which was the catalyst for our interview:

Air Force Col. Learns Man He Helped on 9/11 at Pentagon

This is an exciting and historical story.  When you listen to our exclusive interview above, you'll find out things you probably didn't know about what was going on at the Pentagon on September 11, 2001.  You may also get the sense of 9/11 still being "alive".  This chance meeting 15 years after one man saved another's life is proof of that.

Also, it's interesting that both men ended up in politics and may end up in the Senate together after the November election!  Plus, one of the gentlemen was in a twitter war a few days ago with white supremacist David Duke.
