Last night (May 21st) on the season 13 finale of American Idol, rocker Caleb Johnson was announced as the winner of the singing competition.
Live from the Nokia Theater LA Live stage in Los Angeles, the show featured many musical performances including Phillip Phillips performing "Raging Fire" with Sam Woolf. Jennifer Nettles made an appearance and joined Jessica Meuse to do their rendition of "Wrecking Ball". Judge Jennifer Lopez performed "First Love" and Kiss took to the stage to perform "Shout It Out Loud" with Caleb.
The Idol Guys joined Aloe Blacc to perform "The Man" and Demi Lovato performed "Neon Lights" with the Idol Girls. Paramoreperformed "Ain't It Fun" with runner-up Jena Irene, and host Ryan Seacrest joined Richard Marx to perform "Right Here Waiting".
The judges also hit the stage with Jennifer, Harry Connick Jr, and Keith Urban performing "True Colors" with mentor Randy Jackson. This is the first time the judges have all peformed together on the show.
After Caleb's win he performed his single "As Long As You Love Me".
