Shop Till You Drop!

"It's the most wonderful time of the year!"  So goes one of the most popular Christmas songs and it's true but it can also be a hassle.  I always swear I'm not going to get out in the Black Friday mess but somehow I wind up being a part of it.  This year, I actually enjoyed it.  We were in Myrtle Beach where we took two of our grandsons--six and three--to enjoy the sights and sounds. And a good time was had by all.  The crowds were not so bad where we went and the weather was cool but quite nice.

Books-A-Million still has a store up there and that was fun to go there with the kids and the live shows up there at the Alabama Theater, Carolina Opry, and Pirates Voyage are our favorites and it's always so much fun.  We did some shopping and then just enjoyed the day.  Now, as this is written, it's Cyber Monday, when the deals switch over to the on-line experience.  Can't beat the convenience and it's probably why Black Friday is a bit calmer than it used to be.  Of course, I've never understood why someone would stand in line for a day or two just to get a Doorbuster bargain.  Quite frankly, I don't have that much free time and wonder how they do.  If you know, please explain it to me.

So I'd like to know about your shopping experience.  What are you shopping for this season?  What's hot with the kids, or adults for that matter?  Perspiring minds want to know.  We'll read some of your answers back tomorrow (Tuesday) on our morning show, AM Savannah at 7:35 on News Radio 97.7/1290 WTKS.
