Just in case you didn't know...the left has no sense of humor and a new book coming out is PROVING it. This has it's origins from a couple of New York Times left-wing reporters--but I repeat myself--have written a book and the same bird-cage liner is writing about it and giving it rave reviews. The book is Border Wars: inside Trump's Assault on Immigration so you know already the book is a waste of paper, ink and shipping costs, thus damaging the environment. The Times is reporting that President Trump suggested shooting migrants in the legs after they illegally crossed the border with Mexico in order to slow them down. The title itself is a lie. Since when did protecting our sovereignty and our security "an assault"? What is it about "illegal" alien they don't understand? What part of protecting American citizens is an "assault"? This "suggestion" was presented at a meeting in March, we're told. The book and article goes on to say that Trump wanted to shut down the entire southern border. The so-called report came in an excerpt from the book that cites interviews with more than a dozen White House and administration officials that were directly involved it says. And if that's not despicable enough--how's this?--the report said Trump had also often talked about also having a water-filled trench at the border wall he wants (and is building) filled with snakes and alligators, and aides sought an estimate for doing it. But wait!--there's more!!! Yes ladies and gentlemen...order now and we'll DOUBLE the offer--oops wrong outlet--Trump also wanted the wall electrified with spikes on top.
Now, my initial emotional reaction would be: okay, what's the bad part? But, of course, I'm kidding...and chances are so was Donald Trump. This is called "humor"...a concept completely lost on the lamestream media and their left-wing confederates. When we have station conferences I often throw out little quips that are never to be taken seriously, it just lighten things up. I'm sure the president probably said such things and probably totally in jest. "That's a JOKE, SON!" As Foghorn Leghorn would be quick to point out. Electrifying such a large fence would take enough power to light up ever poor person's house for a year and help feed hungry children (sorry, off track again). For those of us who have a sense of humor this is funny and might have said it ourselves but we don't really mean it. It's something you say out loud just to get a laugh or to lighten things up with they get overheated.
But no surprise the left things this is serious and the book is out by two NYT reporters who cover the White House, Julie Hirschfeld Davis and Michael D. Shear. Both have degrees from Poison Ivy schools so that automatically makes them a lot smarter flesh-and-blood creeps like the rest of us. Julie once worked also for the other big Communist fish wrapper, the Washington Compost now only still in print because it was bought by multi-billionaire Amazon founder Jeff Beebonnet. The book also says that Trump "got angry" as officials pushed back, telling him the migrants couldn't be shot and urging him not to close the border. And exactly why can't we close the border? Believe it or not, Ripley, we did it for almost 30 years in the 1950s through the 80s. We did it on purpose in order to allow the many immigrants we'd let in over the years to assimilate and become true Americans. These illegals pouring in now have little or no interest in becoming Americans and many of them are not Hispanics either. Border Patrol agents will tell you they are arresting people from Russia, Iran, China and the list goes on and on. Yet the left seems to care not a tinker's damn about our security or all the illegal drugs pouring across either. When an illegal alien rapes and/or kills an honest American, Dembulbs don't seem to think that's a crime and nothing happens to them. A Virginia police officer just got suspended for enforcing the law by turning an illegal alien over to ICE! So apparently it's now against the law for that officer to enforce the law. Seems a lot more serious to me than the president making a joke about a snake-filled moat. So if, God forbid, one of those Dems gets to be president please pass out pamphlets explaining which laws we can ignore.
