The Odd Couple

Ah...the tolerant left! This is how bad it's gotten--if you disagree with them ANYTHING, you're a HATER! Don't agree with gay marriage (a contradiction in terms if there ever was one) you're a HOMOPHOBE. And God forbid you say your religious beliefs won't allow you to provide them with a particular service and rather than take their business elsewhere they will do everything they can to DESTROY you. Several businesses have been ruined by these left-wing--dare I say--"terrorists." In a case of a bakery a couple of years back a gay couple wanted a certain kind of cake custom made for them. The owner explained he wouldn't make a cake for them but they could buy any of his cakes and decorate it they way they wanted it. But that wasn't good enough, suddenly said baker found himself being boycotted, demonstrators outside from the rent-a-mob crowd, the Twitter-verse and other social media outlets were slammed by the LGBTQXNTMSFST 2.0 (or whatever they call themselves this week) community and it wasn't long before he was out of business. If you don't hate Donald Trump and love Mayor Pete Bootylicious and the other Dembulbs running for president, you're a racist and vile human being and should be erased from the planet. And these "tolerant" souls are so narrow-minded and blinded by their hatred and stupidity, they'll turn on their own faster that Adam Schiff finds a TV camera. Like when the New York Times put a positive headline about President Trump their lefty readers (excuse my redundancy) went so insane that famous fish wrapper changed the headline to a negative one.

This past weekend is the latest classic case-in-point. Ellen Degeneres is enjoying an NFL game Sunday and looks for all the world like she's having a great time. But to her fan base this cannot be possible unless the picture was photoshopped because Ellen seemed to be enjoying the company of George W. Bush who was sitting a few feet (maybe only inches) away. How could this icon of the gay community possibly be in the same room with a Republican who we know hates gay people, transgender people, black people, Hispanic people, Muslim people, People Magazine you name it? This is the biggest betrayal in his country it makes Benedict Arnold the hero of the American Revolution. Of course those cretins have no idea what that last reference meant since it's doubtful any of them have ever taken an American History course from a non-Communist. How could she stab them in the back like this? (Hopefully they understand that reference). NOOOOOOO!!!! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!!!Okay, get some decaf and some Valium "snowflakes." Take a deep breath and take in Ellen's "backatcha." She put the perfect squelch on these sub-morons.

This is how far it's gone...how bad it's gotten. I'm friends with several folks who have political views on the opposite end of the spectrum from me--some in my family. Once upon a time this was not unusual. It was live and let live. Classic case comes from the late-great Bill Buckley editor and founder of National Review one of the iconic conservative publications. One of Buckley's best friends was John Kenneth Galbraith one of the leading proponents of 20th Century liberalism. The two men truly liked each other and their families often vacationed together. But that was then, this is now. Can't possibly be like that anymore. If someone doesn't agree with you...he have to hate them. A truly said commentary on what many of our citizens are learning and acting today. We need to get handle on this and Ellen had the perfect put-down for those poor misguided folk...check it out for yourself. BTW, I like Ellen and admire her for her comeback.
