J.K. Rowling Says She's 'Fully Recovered' After COVID-19 Symptoms

J.K. Rowling has come forward to reveal that she experienced symptoms of COVID-19, but she's "fully recovered" from the illness.

As per a new message on Twitter, the Harry Potter creator, 54, revealed that she had been suffering from "all the symptoms" of coronavirus for the last two weeks, but she's made a full recovery since then, courtesy of a YouTube video from a doctor at the U.K.'s Queen Hospital. "Please watch this doc from Queens Hospital explain how to relieve respiratory symptoms," she wrote. "For last 2 weeks I've had all symptoms of C19 (tho haven't been tested) & did this on doc husband's advice. I'm fully recovered & technique helped a lot."

In the accompanying video, the medical professional advises a breathing technique for individuals who are displaying symptoms. "What I need you to understand is that once you have an active infection, you need to be getting a good amount of air into the bases of your lungs," he says in the clip.

While the famed author, who recently launched the Harry Potter At Home hub, didn't reveal details about her symptoms, Rowling did thank her followers for all the kindness since going public with her condition. "Thank you for your kind and lovely messages!" she continued in a follow-up message. "I really am completely recovered and wanted to share a technique that’s recommended by doctors, costs nothing, has no nasty side effects but could help you/your loved ones a lot, as it did me. Stay safe, everyone x"
