NewsRadio Savannah introduces you to the Daughtry-White family and their Ronald McDonald House Of The Coastal Empire experience:
I was quite nervous when I was offered a room at the Ronald McDonald House, but it was a great experience. I didn’t think I would be comfortable staying in the House, but the staff and other families made it feel just like home.
It was a comfort hearing the other families’ stories and it made me feel welcome and comfortable.
And, most importantly to me, I was able to go straight across the street to the Dwaine and Cynthia Willet Children’s Hospital at Memorial Hospital to see my children any time of the day or night that I needed to.
Obviously, the best part of my stay was being able to go home. However, it was bittersweet because it felt like I was leaving my second family at the Ronald McDonald House.
