Get the tissue ready! There is a special bond between father and daughter. I know our granddaughters think their dad "hung the moon." Father-daughter dances are always among the most popular in the teen years for the young ladies involved. But Julia Yllescas, a high school senior at Aurora (Nebraska) High School has taken this special bond to a new level, especially since her father, Army Captain Robert Yllescas was killed by an IED in Afghanistan over ten years ago. Last Saturday (08-17-19) Julia did a photo shoot "with dad." How? Julia had a photographer take several pictures for her high school yearbook and to have pictures of her father "photo shopped" by her side. The two pictures she received so far show her sitting and standing next to a faint shadow of her dad in uniform. The photographer said she was beyond honored to take the pictures and do the special effects because she too is a military wife. Susanne Beckmann told WLBT-TV, "I was teary eyed when I was editing them, all I could think in my head is, 'I don't ever want to have to do this for my own kids.'"
Although her dad isn't there by her side physically, the pictures show Julia Yllescas will never be without her dad. This is beyond special and proves that the father-daughter bond is made in Heaven.
