Let's hop in my Time Machine and go back to April 28, 1975--if my math is correct that's over 44 years ago and I was the operations manager of a radio station in Georgetown, South Carolina. One of my news sources at the time was the well-respected (at the time) Newsweek Magazine. Loved the magazine and the articles and never thought of questioning their integrity and sources for printing the truth. That week in the Science section was an article titled The Cooling World. It was written by a bureau writer named Peter Gwynne talking about the "...ominous signs that the earth's weather patterns have begun to change dramatically and these changes may portend a drastic decline in food production--with serious political implications for just about every nation on earth." Gwynne's article indicated that food output could begin "quite soon" and added, "...perhaps only ten years from now." It went on to say how hard-hit farmers were in England where the growing season had declined by two weeks since 1950, the temperature around the equator was rising by a "fraction of a degree" which could me drought and desolation while a record number of tornadoes had been recorded in the U-S and went on to predict doom and gloom. Notice the standard rhetoric of "...only ten years from now." I was a bit taken aback by the article and it bothered me and yet the ten years came and went, 1985 and now I was hearing about "global warming." Now they were making the very same arguments about more storms and less food production and I had to ask myself, "Which is it? Warming was causing all the stuff they were blaming cooling for a decade past. So bring my time machine back to 2019 and what do we see and hear? Teens and some highly-misinformed adults running around writhing in fear and screaming about the world coming to an end within--here's the 44-year-old echo--"...about ten years" is all we have left. What's worse they're screaming that we're not doing anything about it. They have been taught by silver-tongued but fork-tongued left-wing teachers the biggest hoax ever perpetrated on human kind. Low lifes like Al Gore and his confederates are making a handsome living at it by telling the rest of us how to live while enjoying the proverbial "Life of Riley." Al Gore has a mansion and estate in North Carolina that uses more energy in a month that most of use all year..He and his cohorts fly around the world in their private jets (hopefully most of them are Gulfstreams) lecturing us to be more conservative. But if one has to use more energy then Al and the gang want to sell you something called "carbon offsets." This snake oil is no different from the practice that made Martin Luther question the sincerity of the Catholic Church, selling "indulgences." Families then gave the church money they could hardly afford to part with to buy their relatives out of Purgatory and on into Heaven. Worked like a charm till Marty spoiled the party.
Well somebody sure needs to spoil this one. All these poor pawns of the left running around Friday--not a Saturday mind you--with their "Get Out Of School Free" cards literally screaming bloody murder. At a time in their lives when they should be enjoying and taking advantage of their youth, looking forward to a bright future with goodness knows how many technical advances they'll see in their lifetimes but instead are out-of-their-minds hysterical that we're committing global suicide. They are in such dire straits many of them are in need of psychological therapy. They were blocking traffic, disrupting commerce and carrying signs made of material they claim we're running out of. They love the trees so much their signs are supported by a part of one holding a sign made of one and then these caring souls left about 50 or 60 tons of garbage behind on the planet they love so much--just like Earth Day gatherings.
If you'll go back and look at these environmental reports over the years you'll see the "same song, second verse" by telling us it's getting too warm and we have only about "ten years" left and then ten years pass and it's on to "global cooling" and unless we do something we have "only about ten years left." Since they can't make up their mind and Global Warming events had to be cancelled because of a snow storm. So they had to revert to "climate change." That way anything could be blamed on it. Too much snow--has to be a record--"climate change." Too hot--must be a record!--"climate change." More hurricanes than usual? Climate change! If you're dumb enough not to believe it, you're like those folks back in the 15th Century that believed the earth was round! OOPS, bad example. Fact is, climate change does exist...and it started the day after God finished creating the place. How did we get the Great Lakes? The Grand Canyon? The Rocky Mountains or the Alps? Climate change! Core samples taken by real geologists have shown that the South Pole was once a tropical paradise, Greenland was so named because it was green. A few years ago it got so warm in Norway that 400-year-old mines reappeared. The Norway folks didn't know of their existence. But what does that tell you? That 400 years ago it was warmer in Norway and when it got colder those mines were covered by by snow storm.
The worst part is the closed minds of the left when confronted with facts will say it cannot be denied, it's "settled science." NO IT'S NOT!!! You can find 97 scientists who agree but there are 4,000 who don't. My mother graduated from Savannah High School in the late 1930s and early 40s, "settled science" said man would never split the atom. We ended the Second World War with two examples of the error of that theory. We are powering about half of the planet on nuclear power now and we need to be doing more. Think they're teaching that in schools? Our kids were forced to watch Al Gore's piece of garbage, An Inconvenient Truth and Hollywierd even gave him an Academy Award for it, but Hollywierd is good at awarding fiction. At least when it was required viewing in the U-K and judge over there required the teachers to point out something like six (6) or more glaring errors. Over the weekend one of the Democretins' presidential candidates was grilling steaks for his supporters! The same wonderful party who is telling us to stop eating meat and get rid of all the cows (airplanes too while we're at it) is grilling steaks for supporters. You can't make this stuff up.
If this wasn't so disturbing and disgusting it would be humorous...but it's NOT. This is, pure and simple--CHILD ABUSE on a faux-platinum level. I pray to God they can be saved. If they're right then the Bible is a lie. God told us his Son would return and he'd be returning to a planet that still existed and it would be even greater than before. And with all due respect to AOC and her confederates God ONLY knows when that'll be and since he hasn't even told his Son, I doubt he's told AOC. Now watch the 16-year-old climate genium Greta and weep for the children!
