Army Specialist Winston Hencely, from Effingham, was critically injured in a terror attack at Bagram Air Base in Afghaniston on November 12, 2016. What couldn't be told, until now, is the heroic story of how Winston's keen eye and brave action kept the body count from this attack a lot lower than it was supposed to be.
LISTEN to all three parts of this story, told EXCLUSIVELY to WTKS by Hencely's neighbor and family friend, Joe Webb.
* In Part 1, Joe describes what happened that day in Afghanistan and the injuries Winston sustained;
* In Part 2, Joe gives some background on Winston and shares info about how to contribute to and keep up with Winston's recovery;
* In Part 3, you'll hear Winston's mother Vicky and then Winston himself.

We're pulling for him to receive a well-earned Congressional Medal of Honor.
PS: Please say a prayer for the families and friends of the four soldiers killed and the 15 other people injured in this suicide attack.
