Yay! "Big Bang Theory" spinoff in the works...

On Monday, CBS revealed that prequel series "Young Sheldon" will debut on the network in the 2017-18 season.  The story will follow  “The Big Bang Theory’s” Sheldon Cooper at age 9, living with his family in East Texas and going to high school.  

Jim Parsons will narrate as adult Sheldon.

"Big Bang" co-creator Chuck Lorre and showrunner Steven Molaro will serve as executive producers, along with Todd Spiewack and Jim Parsons, who has portrayed present-day Sheldon for the past 10 seasons. "The Jungle Book" and "Iron Man" filmmaker Jon Favreau will also direct and executive produce the pilot episode.

"Big Little Lies" co-star Iain Armitage is set to portray the title character, with Zoe Perry, Lance Barber, Raegan Revord and Montana Jordan rounding out the supporting cast.
