TRUMP CALLS ASTRONAUT AFTER SHE BREAKS SPACE RECORD: President Trump spoke to astronaut Peggy Whitson at the International Space Station yesterday (April 24th), making a congratulatory call to her as she broke the American record for most accumulated time in space of 534 days, two hours and 48 minutes. Trump, who spoke with daughter and advisor Ivanka Trump at his side, who also offered congratulations, said, "This is a very special day in the glorious history of American spaceflight." Whitson, who is currently the space station's commander and, at 57, the oldest woman in space, said it was a "huge honor" to break the record. She will return to Earth in September, ending her third mission in space.
