12:30pm update - Here's the latest from WTOC:
"A YMCA bus was traveling on Ebenezer Road and an Effingham County school bus was traveling on Mill Pond Road. The school bus failed to yield while making a left turn onto Ebenezer Road, pulling out in front of the YMCA bus.
The YMCA bus could not stop in time and struck the Effingham County school bus on the driver's side.
A student on the YMCA bus was checked out by first responders on the scene but appeared to be OK and was not transported to the hospital. There were no other injuries reported.
The Effingham County school bus driver was cited for failure to yield to oncoming traffic."
School Bus Crash In Rincon, Some Children Hurt
8/3/2018 - WTOC and the Effingham County Sheriff's Office are reporting that there was a wreck involving two school buses this morning around 8. It happened at Ebenezer and Mill Pond roads.
The ECSO public information says the buses bumped each other. Children were on board at the time and a couple of them have minor injuries. (This is why I believe there should be seat belts on school buses.)
The scene has been cleared. The Georgia State Patrol and Effingham County Sheriff’s Office are investigating.
