10/11/2018, WTKS - US Secretary of Health & Human Services and GA Congressman Buddy Carter talked with us about the bills the President signed to help you pay less for prescriptions. They are called the Know the Lowest Price Act and Patients Right to Know Drug Prices Act that will become law and ban “gag clauses,” which insurers and pharmacy benefit managers use to prohibit pharmacists from discussing lower-cost options with patients, causing consumers to needlessly overpay for drugs they need.

Extra: Because schools were closed for Hurricane Michael, Isabella (my daughter, 11) joined us at work today. Congressman Carter visited the Liberty County Public School System, including her elementary school, recently for 2 special occasions. The first was for a live link and discussion with an American astronaut on the International Space Station, and the other was for the awarding of Liberty Elementary School with State STEM Certification.
