NewsRadio Savannah introduces you to the Powell family and their Ronald McDonald House Of The Coastal Empire experience:
My name is Kayla and my family’s long journey began on January 7, 2020. I was just 28 weeks and 5 days pregnant when my sweet Brynlee Rayne decided to make her arrival.
I felt a whirlwind of emotions! As a single mother to two other children with no car and no money, I felt so lost. My sweet baby was being taken to Savannah and I felt so helpless.
I applied to stay at the Ronald McDonald house and after a few days they offered me a room. I could be near my daughter and see her every day. Because of the blessings of the Ronald McDonald House, (a room, food, and other donations) I was able to focus on my daughter’s recovery. It was a long three months, and I will forever be grateful for the love and support I received. I met some amazing people and made lifelong friendships.
