Armitage Family: Shop With A Cop 2023

NewsRadio SavannahĀ and our sponsorĀ The Dewitt Tilton GroupĀ introduces you to the ArmitageĀ family and theirĀ Ronald McDonald House Of The Coastal EmpireĀ experience:

The holidays should often bring lots of excitement. For Sherri & Paul, the holidays came with much fear and anticipation. After 3 years of infertility, Sherri was finally pregnant- times 4. After a couple admissions to the hospital, the babies were born the day after Thanksgiving at 31 weeks.
Immediately, there was a growing concern with how theyā€™d be able to divide their times amongst four Isolettes in the NICU and travel back and forth. Paul was putting in calls to hotels when the hospital social worker suggested applying for the Ronald McDonald House. Despite having worked around the Savannah area for 8 years, neither were aware there was a Ronald McDonald House across the street from the hospital.
The day Sherri was getting discharged, the House called with a room to spare. Being so close allowed them to spend every moment possible near their babies. It made the breastfeeding/pumping journey easier because there was a hospital grade pump in the house. It took the financial strain off paying for rooms and food- at a time when all finances were going towards medical expenses. And most of all, it gave Paul and Sherri a family to celebrate with during the holidays. Sherri will always remember their first Christmas as parents spent at the Ronald McDonald House and the NICU.
The Ronald McDonald has continued to play an active role in checking up with the quadruplets, who all went home on New Years Eve. Raising 4 children keeps them busy and the Ronald McDonald House has always been supportive. The kids also love visiting, spending time with Willow, and looking back at pictures from previous RMH events. Sherri & Paul also enjoy being able to share their story of hope and volunteer.
Sherri notes ā€œThe RMH welcomed us, loved on us, helped us through the tough days, celebrated with us on the good days, and has continuously been a support in our lives. They are family and truly showed us the house that love built.ā€
