SCHOOLS:

  • Appling Christian Academy will resume classes on Friday.
  • Appling County Schools will remain closed Thursday and re-open on Friday.
  • Ash Tree Learning Center Academy will be closed through Friday.
  • Beaufort County Schools will be closed through Friday.
  • Benedictine Military School will remain closed through the rest of the week.
  • Bethesda Academy will remain closed through Friday.
  • Bible Baptist Christian Academy in Statesboro will be closed Thursday.
  • Blessed Sacrament School, St. James School and St. Peter the Apostle School in Chatham County will remain closed through Friday, September 6
  • Bryan County Schools will be closed Tuesday-Friday for both staff and students.
  • Bulloch County Schools will be closed Thursday. The district will continue to monitor weather, but plans to resume school and activities for employees and students on Friday.
  • Butler Christian Academy will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • Calvary Day School will be closed Tuesday-Friday.
  • Central Texas College @ Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield will cancel all classes the rest of the week.
  • College of Coastal Georgia (classes to end Tuesday, September 3rd).
  • East Georgia State College’s Statesboro location as well as classes held at GSU are canceled through Friday. Swainsboro and Augusta to remain as usual.
  • Economic Opportunity Authority For Savannah-Chatham County Area, Inc. (EOA) Head Start/Early Head Start Chatham will be closed to students on Tuesday through Friday, Sept. 6.
  • Effingham County schools will be back in session Friday, Sept. 6th.
  • Evans County Schools will resume normal operations on Friday.

  • Glynn County Schools plan to resume a regular school schedule on Friday.

  • Step of Faith Christian Academy will be closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

  • Super Kids Child Care Center in Statesboro will be closed Wednesday.
  • Terry’s Childcare & Learning Center in Chatham County will close Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • The Children’s Center on Hilton Head Island will be closed until further notice.
  • Tot’s Learning Academy in Chatham County is closed until further notice.
  • Tremont Temple Preschool Learning Center in Savannah will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday

  • Weekday Ministry First Baptist Church child care will operate as normal Friday.
  • Wesley Community Centers of Savannah, Inc. will be closed through Friday.
  • Wright’s Child Care will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • YMCA of Coastal Georgia
    • Bryan County: Richmond Hill YMCA will be close at Noon and remain closed through Wednesday, September 4th. No Fun Club, childcare or programs.
    • Bulloch County: Statesboro YMCA will remain open until 6 pm on Monday and open Tuesday, September 3, 2019 until 6 pm and will be closed on Wednesday, September 4th.
    • Chatham County: All Chatham County YMCA facilities are closed through Wednesday, September 4th. (Habersham, Islands, Tybee, West Chatham). This includes Child Learning Centers, YMCA Before & After School Enrichment and all programs. The West Broad Street YMCA will be closed through Wednesday, September 4th. All programs are cancelled.
    • Effingham County: The Effingham YMCA will remain open until 6 pm on Monday and open Tuesday, September 3, 2019 until 6 pm and will be closed on Wednesday, September 4th.
    • Glynn County: The Golden Isles YMCA will be closed through Wednesday, September 4th. No Fun Club, YMCA Before & After School Enrichment or Childcare.
    • Liberty County: The Liberty County YMCA will be closed through Wednesday, September 4th. No Fun Club, YMCA Before & After School Enrichment or Childcare.
    • McIntosh County: The McIntosh YMCA will be closed through Wednesday, September 4th.

HOSPITALS

  • Beaufort Memorial Hospital (BMH) has received a waiver to shelter in place during the passage of Hurricane Dorian, allowing the hospital to keep its emergency room open and for critical personnel to stay in the hospital and prepare to care for remaining patients. Officials and staff have begun discharging or transferring patients to receiving facilities per Governor Henry McMaster’s mandatory medical evacuation order. Staff are notifying patients’ family members and officials expect patient transfers to be complete by Tuesday. In addition, the following service closures and/or modifications will begin today:
    • All elective surgical cases at the hospital and Beaufort Memorial Outpatient Surgery Center are canceled through the end of the week.
    • Radiation therapy, chemotherapy and infusion services are available through Tuesday, September 3.
    • All other outpatient services are closed through the end of the week.
  • St. Joseph’s Hospital is open today with no visitor restrictions but will not have cafeteria services for the public until Friday.
    • Candler Hospital is open for visitors but will not be fully operational until tomorrow. No cafeteria service for visitors until Friday.
    • Pooler Campus is fully operational Friday.
    • All St. Joseph’s/Candler Primary Care and Specialty Care offices in Georgia will be open Friday. We are still assessing South Carolina offices. The Statesboro and Pembroke Primary Care offices are open Thursday. The Rincon Primary Care practice opens at noon Thursday.
    • The Nancy N. and J.C. Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion in Savannah will be open Friday. We are still assessing South Carolina offices.
    • Candler Prescription Center is open Thursday 10am to 6pm and regular hours Friday.

ROADS/BRIDGES

  • CAT will provide free transportation to residents without private transportation from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday. Buses will go to the Savannah Civic Center. Buses will cease operating at 6 p.m. Tuesday and will remain suspended until further notice. CAT suspended the Belles Ferry services at 8 p.m. Monday. The free downtown shuttle, CAT’s paratransit service, and CAT Mobility will not operate Tuesday. The customer service line, 912.233.5767, will operate on a shortened schedule from 6 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The ticket/informational window at the JMR International Transit Center on West Oglethorpe will also operate on a shortened schedule Tuesday, from 7 a.m. until 12 p.m.
  • Sidney Lanier Bridge in Brunswick is open.
  • Talmadge Bridge in Savannah is open.
  • The Jekyll Island Causeway will close Tuesday at 8 p.m. It will be barricaded and no entry will be permitted until re-entry is activated. A curfew has also been issued by the Jekyll Island Authority, beginning Tuesday at 8 p.m. It will remain in effect until further notice. It is prohibited for any person to appear in public in the territory subject to the curfew, including streets, sidewalks, public buildings, beaches, roads, in vehicles or otherwise, and any other public place on Jekyll during the curfew.

BUSINESSES

  • Beaufort Jasper Water & Sewer Authority will be closed through Friday.
  • Be Pediatrics will be closed Tuesday-Thursday.
  • Bluffton Jasper Volunteers in Medicine clinics in Bluffton and Ridgeland will be closed until further notice.
  • Boland Eye Center will be closed Sept. 3rd-5th.
  • BMH Care Anywhere, which offers on-line appointments with board-certified providers, will remain in operation 24/7 throughout the storm and can be accessed by downloading the BMH Care Anywhere app or by visitingBMHCareAnywhere.org.
  • Chatham Oral Surgery - all locations closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • Coastal Allergy & Asthma - all locations - closed Tuesday-Thursday.
  • Coastal Ear, Nose & Throat Savannah and Pooler locations closing Tuesday & Wednesday.
  • Coastal Pediatrics - both locations in Savannah - closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • Curtis V. Cooper Primary Health Care, Inc. - all locations - will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • Daniel Defense will temporarily suspend operations in its manufacturing facility in Black Creek, Ga. Daniel Defense will be closed starting Tuesday, September 3rd and will remain closed through Wednesday, September 4th.
  • Diamond Crystal Brands will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • Environmental monitoring efforts at the Able Contracting fire site are suspended
  • Epps Medical Associates - all locations - will be closed Thursday, with a possible re-opening of Friday.
  • Express Care & Occupational Health – Beaufort – is open until 8 p.m. Monday, September 2, and then will be closed for the remainder of the week
  • Everyday Diabetes Center will be closed through Friday
  • First City Films will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • Gastroenterology Consultants of Savannah will close Tuesday through Thursday.
  • GeoVista Credit Union closing Richmond Hill, Pooler, and Hunter locations Tuesday and Wednesday
  • Georgia Skin & Cancer Clinic - all offices - will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • Golden Isles YMCA will be closed Monday.
  • Goodwill stores - Sallie Mood Outlet, Eisenhower, Wilmington Island, Richmond Hill, Pooler, Berwick, McAlpin, St. Mary’s, Brunswick and Hinesville - will be closed starting Monday, Sept. 2 until further notice.
  • Harrison Peeples Health Care Center – Varnville – will be open Tuesday, September 3, and then will be closed for the remainder of the week.
  • Health departments in all eight Coastal Health District counties (Bryan, Camden, Chatham, Effingham, Glynn, Liberty, Long, and McIntosh) will be closed through Thursday.
  • Hilton Head Island Fire Rescue is closing locations on Shipyard Drive, Lighthouse Road, and William Hilton Parkway.
  • Housing Authority of Savannah, The View at Oglethorpe, SCB Kayton , River Pointe I and River Pointe II will remain closed Thursday and re-open on Friday.
  • J. C. Lewis Primary Healthcare Center - all sites - will re-open on Friday from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
  • John Davis Florist in Savannah will be closed Monday-Wednesday.
  • Kerry Inc. in Savannah employees should start safely making their way back to the area. Operations will resume as soon as possible. Check the call in line for a timeline at 912-210-5370 after 1 p.m. for updates.
  • Kids First Pediatrics of Georgia - all locations will be closed Thursday.
  • Lady’s Island Internal Medicine – will be open Tuesday, September 3, and then will be closed for the remainder of the week.
  • Ledesma Sports Medicine, Savannah closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • Live Oak Public Libraries - all branches - closed through Friday.
  • Lummus Corporation is closed until further notice
  • Marylin Youmans School-Dance closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force will be closed until further notice.
  • Neurological & Spine Institute in Chatham County closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • OBGYN Specialists – Beaufort, Bluffton, Savannah – will be open from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 3, and then will be closed for the remainder of the week.
  • Oglethorpe Dental in Hinesville is closed through Friday and will re-open on Monday.
  • Orthopaedic Specialists (Lowcountry Medical Group location) will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, September 3, and then will be closed for the remainder of the week.
  • Pooler Municipal Court has been cancelled for Thursday, Sept. 5. Those already on the docket will receive a new subpoena via mail. Please contact the Court Clerks on Monday, Sept. 9 if you need to update your mailing address in order to ensure delivery of your new subpoena.
  • Precious Cargo and Transport will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • Precision Machine and Precision Protective Coating will be closed through Thursday.
  • Publix in Pooler is closed until storm passes.
  • Ramon Ramos, MD. Pediatric Offices in Savannah and Pooler will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • Regenerative Healthcare will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • Savannah Animal Care will be OPEN 24/7 for pet emergencies during the storm.
  • Savannah Medical Group will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday (possibly Thursday).
  • Savannah Vascular Institute will be closed Tuesday through Thursday.
  • Schulze Eye and Surgery Center will be closed through Friday.
  • Smith Barid, LLC. closed through Friday.
  • SouthCoast Health System - all offices - will resume all inpatient and outpatient services on Friday.
  • Tanger Outlets in Pooler and Hilton Head closed until further notice.
  • Telfair Museums (Jepson Center, Telfair Academy, and the Owens-Thomas House & Slave Quarters) will be closed Monday through at least Friday, Sept. 6.
  • Urgent Care 24/7 will keep the Historic Savannah, Pooler, and Midtown locations open during the storm.
  • WellCare of Georgia’s Savannah office (located at 1000 Business Center Drive) will be closed through Wednesday, 9/4
  • Wells Fargo branches in Savannah and surrounding areas will remain closed Thursday.
  • Wesley Community Centers of Savannah will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • Wetherington Chiropractic will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • YMCA of Coastal Georgia (Chatham, Glynn, Effingham, Liberty, McIntosh) closed Thursday.
