A popular sauce sold in stores in select states around the country has been recalled over a "labeling error" that puts some consumers at risk.
Fresh Creative Foods has issued a recall for the Trader Joe's Hot Honey Mustard Dressing with a "Use By" date of 05/27/2025 due to a labeling error that left specific allergens — peanuts, soy, sesame and wheat — off of the product packaging, according to a recall notice shared March 31 by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration. This could pose a danger for individuals with an allergy or severe sensitivity to any or all of the excluded ingredients.
The affected product was distributed to Trader Joe's locations in more than a dozen states across the U.S., including in Georgia: Arkansas, Colorado, Washington D.C, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, North Carolina, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia.
As of March 30, there have been no reports of incident or customer complaints in connection to the recall. Anyone who purchased the impacted product can either throw it out or return it to Trader Joe's for a full refund. Customer questions can be directed to Fresh Creative Foods at 888-223-2127 Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT.
