NewsRadio Savannah and our sponsors The Dewitt Tilton Group and Express Employment introduces you to the Williams-Hall family and their Ronald McDonald House Of The Coastal Empire experience:
Baby E'Lias was born on March 8, 2024 at only 23 weeks and 3 days. I went into pre-term labor just three days after my grandmother, E’Lias’s great grandmother, passed away. E'Lias weighed only 1lb 2oz at birth. Over his 96 day long NICU stay, E'Lias has overcome numerous life obstacles including but not limited to: a grade 1 brain bleed, a heart PDA, chronic lung disease, several blood transfusions, a viral infection, and much more. While this stay was long and everything but easy, he was extremely blessed to have had a smooth stay allowing him to come home on June 12th at just 37 weeks old.
Since coming home, E'Lias is now a little over 15lbs, completely off of oxygen support, and thriving. He is the happiest baby, and is always playing and smiling with everyone. He is currently doing physical and occupational therapy every week to assist with his developmental milestones.
Staying at the Ronald McDonald House allowed us to be together as family and only being steps away from the NICU allowed us to spend important time with E’Lias during his stay. Beyond that having the comfort and support provided by the staff and other families going through similar situations was so comforting.
Thank you to the Ronald Mcdonald House for giving us a home away from home and being a huge part of our life-changing experience!
